Rand McAllister just knew he shouldn’t have agreed to babysit his younger twin sisters. They aren’t called the Demon Duo for nothing! Unfortunately, Randall can’t resist when his mother begs for help so she can attend an emergency meeting of the Witches’ Council. The Demon Duo, also known as Mel and Riz, attempt a spell that goes astray… leaving Rand trapped in the body of a small Scottie dog! Will Rand find a way to become human again? And will lovely veterinarian, Amanda Livingston, want to remain in his life once she realizes he’s not actually a dog?
Lizzie T. Leaf does a phenomenal job at crafting characters we care about and then putting them in some of the most hilarious situations! Rand’s sense of dread as he approaches his first night of babysitting preps the reader for what is to come while at the same time we see his love for his sisters. Mel and Riz are dangerously powerful with their spells but their good intentions provide a nice counterbalance to the havoc they unintentionally wreak. It’s hard not to love these characters as even the family’s cat, Simma, is developed well as a character.
DOGSPELL is a book that had me laughing from start to finish. Lizzie T. Leaf has a real gift at incorporating humor into her stories without resorting to crudeness. Instead, her light humor creates an atmosphere of love even in the midst of a crisis, such as shape shifting! I couldn’t help but love Rand’s own internal conflict over the desires of a man versus a dog as he warred over things such as chasing vehicles. DOGSPELL is easily recommended!

This one sounds fabulous!
It was, Crystal! Her books are always good but this one may be my favorite yet of hers.
