Jot, otherwise known as James Oberon Trask, just wants to eat a large breakfast to recover from the lunar cycle that turns him into a small werewolf. Polly catches his eye but Jot isn’t prepared for her occupation… Polly is a werewolf researcher! With a killer on the loose who is mimicking werewolves, Jot can’t help but wonder if it’s merely a coincidence he is meeting her. Will Jot be able to win Polly’s heart once his secret is out?

DINK just sheer fun! Jot’s predicament with the aftereffects of his shift to a much smaller body mass is sure to produce a giggle, but it is his unwilling obsession with a Chihuahua that kept me laughing. It was hard not to laugh at the inner thoughts of Jot, as he seems like an ordinary man caught in some extraordinary circumstances. Polly is also very believable despite her rather odd research topic. Her own disbelief helps keep her profession from seeming ridiculous, while her awkwardness around Jot endears her to the reader.

The author (as Melody Knight and N.D. Hansen-Hill are apparently one and the same) keeps up the light, humorous tone throughout the tale while maintaining a bit of suspense. DINK is a short but quite amusing tale and one that makes me eager to try more of her books. Easily recommended!

My name is Debbie and I love to read just about anything. My favorite books, however, are generally paranormal romances. I am a social worker with the school system in Florida so I get a lot of time off in the summer to read (except when I'm sitting in the dark with no ac thanks to a hurricane)! I'm happily married and have 2 doggie children. I also enjoying working out, "American Idol", and cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
