The Doomsday Brethren are locked in an ongoing battle with the evil wizard Mathias and his Anarki army, but now the stakes have gotten even higher….

Simon Northam, the Duke of Hurstgrove, is juggling his human and wizard duties. His brother, Mason, is about to be married and Duke is expected to participate. Meanwhile, Mathias is determined to wreak havoc- and unfortunately, Mason’s fiancée, Felicia, is at the heart of his plan. Felicia is a rarity, an Untouchable, who has the ability to mute all magic. Will Duke be able to resist his growing attraction for Felicia? And darkness will Mathias’ diabolical plan create?

I almost didn’t start this series- and what a loss this would have been! The Doomsday Brethren series is one that has gotten better and better as the complexity of the relationships unveils with each subsequent book. ENTICE ME AT TWILIGHT is the fourth book in the series and one that must be read in the context of the series for the reader to truly enjoy it. There is an ongoing plotline involving the battles with Mathias and each book leaves some threads unresolved.

Shayla Black does a great job at making the romance in ENTICE ME AT TWILIGHT work.  I was a little skeptical about Duke falling in love with his brother’s fiancée, but it did work. Don’t mistake this series as being just another paranormal romance series, however. The ongoing plot involving the battle between the two groups of wizards is quite fascinating and should make this series appealing to both paranormal romance and urban fantasy fans.

ENTICE ME AT TWILIGHT is yet another fascinating installment in what has turned into an excellent series. I must admit, however, that the upcoming book focusing on Lucan is the one I’m anxiously awaiting as his growth as a character has me hoping for a happily-ever-after for him. Highly recommended!

My name is Debbie and I love to read just about anything. My favorite books, however, are generally paranormal romances. I am a social worker with the school system in Florida so I get a lot of time off in the summer to read (except when I'm sitting in the dark with no ac thanks to a hurricane)! I'm happily married and have 2 doggie children. I also enjoying working out, "American Idol", and cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
