King Feydon’s last will decrees that his three daughters, half-human and half-Faerie, be protected by the Satyr brothers. Lyon, the youngest of the three brothers, is searching all over Paris for the last of the three women when he is distracted by a Nereid and a woman observing them from a bridge. Little does Lyon realize the mess that Feydon’s daughter, Juliette Rabelais, has found herself in… or the trouble he will soon be in as well. One night could change everything. LYON is actually the third in this smoking hot series but it can easily be read as a stand alone. Elizabeth Amber ensures that readers have all the background necessary to enjoy the story and the marvelous twists she incorporates into it. I haven’t read the two prior books but based upon reading LYON, I can see that I’ve definitely been missing out on a great series! LYON is without a doubt one of the steamiest books I’ve read in quite awhile. Elizabeth Amber doesn’t hesitate to crank up the heat! The passion between Juliette and Lyon is evident from their very first encounter and only grows stronger as the story progresses. Sensitive readers should note that Lyon is part of the Satyr family, and, as one would expect from the name, he is without a doubt a very sexual being. Ms. Amber makes great use of his needs, however, as she creates a fascinating mythology and one that is quite unique. Juliette is a great heroine and the perfect complement for Lyon. While she resides in a house filled with courtesans, Juliette has a few secrets of her own. Her magical talents only add to the aura of mystery surrounding her as Elizabeth Amber weaves a very beautiful and deeply sensuous tale. LYON is a superb book and one that showcases the creativity of Elizabeth Amber. Her skill at creating both a captivating world and multidimensional characters makes LYON stand out in the genre. LYON is highly recommended!Reviewed by Anne |
