Iris Jensen has gained somewhat of a reputation of a firebug after having accidently starting three fires in her kitchen apartment. Riley Benson, a firefighter who responded to Iris’ last fire incident, is looking for a tenant to rent a room in the old family home that he is restoring. In dire need of cash, he agrees to allow Iris and her cat move in for the six weeks before she leaves town for a new job overseas on a cruise ship. Will Iris and Riley find true love? They will if Angelica and Hildegard, two angels in Heaven’s Relationship Division, have anything to say about it! I was totally charmed by Burning Love from the first scene where Iris and Riley rush to save Iris’s kitty from the apartment fire. Iris and Riley are both very likeable characters, and watching the growth of their relationship is a sweet delight, but the floor is really stolen by Angelica and her boss, Hildegard, the hilarious angels who are attempting to orchestrate Iris and Riley’s love story from Heaven. I do so hope that Angelica and Hildegard will return for further stories in the near future. I would love to learn more about Heaven’s Relationship Division, some of Angelica’s other misadventures prior to joining Hildegard’s department, as well as follow the angels through their work with other love stories.
