Sandra Larsen, restaurant critic for the Harris Grove newspaper, and David Jenkins have been at loggerheads every step along to way toward their best friends’ wedding. As the wedding couple prepares to leave on their honeymoon, David, who has secretly fallen for Sandra, convinces her that they need to resolve their differences if they both hope to continue being included in their friends’ social circle. He has only one short week to convince her they were meant to be together. Table for Two is a delightful little novella that warms the reader like a cup of hot cocoa in front of a warm fireplace. Our heroine and hero seem to find themselves in one awkward situation after another, eliciting both groans and giggles of sympathy from their readers as we all relive the perils of dating. I love a romance where the man realizes his feelings early and proceeds to pursue his lady with both determination and vulnerability. David’s charm wins this reader’s allegiance from the very beginning.
