Tate Donovan and Abby Culhane are stunned by the reading of King Donovan’s will. Surely he meant to leave everything to Tate, his son! However, attorney Ryan Cutter assures them both that King fully intended to leave Sycamore Grove and one quarter of The Yellow Rose Ranch to Abby. Tate is furious and determined to run Abby out of town! But can either of them deny the attraction simmering between them? Oh, how I enjoyed seeing Tate Donovan get his comeuppance! His brief appearance in CUTTER’S LAW showed his cocky nature but Abby is just the woman to capture his heart. The struggle between these two hardheaded characters finally culminates in one of the best scenes I’ve read in awhile. And who couldn’t help but roar with laughter over the situation with Sam? I won’t give any spoilers, but needless to say, Judith Rochelle succeeds yet again in writing the perfect story for her characters! Fans of the series will enjoy yet another visit with the residents of White Tail, Texas, although each book is easily a stand alone story. The town is essentially a character in itself and it’s hard to break away and leave White Tail as each book concludes. Judith Rochelle does a superb job at making all of her characters seem both likable and real. ONE HOT TEXAS NIGHT is yet another stellar offering from the talented Judith Rochelle! Readers will go through a gamut of emotions, including anger, tears, and even laughter. Kudos to Judith Rochelle for understanding the emotional heart of her stories and characters!
