Where do demons and other creatures of the underworld go when they need a bit of medical care? Why, they go to Underworld General Hospital of course!

Eidolon prides himself on his adherence to the rules of the Haven spell at the hospital but the latest patient wheeled in is testing that. Tayla Mancuso is a demon slayer, a member of the dreaded Aegis. As a Seminus demon, Eidolon is no threat to humans but that wouldn’t stop Tayla or the Aegis from killing him instantly. As if this wasn’t complicated enough, Eidolon and Tayla are wildly attracted to one another… but will their individual heritages destroy any chance they have at finding love together? And just what is going on with all those missing organs?

Larissa Ione kicks off her Demonica series in phenomenal fashion with PLEASURE UNBOUND. This fast paced story introduces a very vast world chock full of intriguing characters and fascinating plot twists and Larissa Ione uses every aspect to full advantage. The romance is steamy while the world itself is lush and richly developed. In fact, PLEASURE UNBOUND is the perfect blend of urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

Larissa Ione does a superb job at creating likable characters and creating tension between them. One can’t help but sympathize with both Eidolon and Tayla as they are faced with decisions that affect more than just their own desire for one another. Tayla in particular breaks my heart as she has never felt at home anywhere in her life, shuffled from foster home to foster home, and finally settling with the Aegis as an adult. Her sarcasm is hysterical but it is her determination to survive that makes her such a great heroine. She makes a great contrast with Eidolon, a man who always puts family and his oath as a doctor first.
