A demon is loose in Hollywood and it’s Guardian Kieran MacIntyre’s duty to capture it. The last time this demon escaped, it launched the Jack the Ripper killings in Whitechapel. As an immortal Guardian, Kiernan has heard the legend of Destined Mates but has always dismissed it as being ridiculous. That is, until he meets Julie Carpenter. Julie has her own doubts about Kiernan’s sanity, but the telepathic bond that develops between them is unmistakable. The demon is still lurking, however, and the bodies are piling up. Will Julie and Kiernan find a love that lasts ETERNALLY? Maureen Child has crafted a wonderful addition to the fledgling Silhouette Nocturne line. The attraction between Julie and Kiernan is sizzling while the paranormal elements keep the reader in suspense as to how the demon’s own telepathy will impact the budding relationship between Julie and Kiernan. Kiernan is very much of man of his times as he was born in the 1500s and is truly an Alpha male. His possessiveness towards Julie is representative of his own culture and the resulting clash with Julie, a woman of today, is instantaneous. ETERNALLY is a beautifully written tale of love, heartbreak, and the supernatural. Those expecting another Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter tale will be disappointed as Maureen Child forges her own Guardian legend in a vastly different style. ETERNALLY appears to be the start of a series and this reviewer, for one, is eagerly looking forward to what other surprises Ms. Childs has in store for us.Reviewed by Debbie
