Offering herself up as dessert for seven men at a party is not really what Nicole Nielsen does. No, she usually plays the cook for her erotic catering company, creating the confections and decorating her employees’ nude bodies with the treats before each party she works. But when you own the company, and your dessert ‘server’ bails on the job last minute, you do what you have to do. And so Nicole finds herself, nude, bound with licorice ropes, and covered in sweets as the dessert buffet for an important client, who she has never met. Drake Andrews is desperate for just one night to explain to Nicole why he has been absent from her life for so many years. If hiring her catering company is the only way to assure her complete attention, then so be it. But winning her love again may not be as easy as he has hoped… Forbidden Fruit is part of the Ecstasy series, and is set on Zygoman, the BDSM pleasure planet that both of the other two books in the series is set in, but is more of a standalone story than those books. While the other two books share major and supporting characters, Forbidden Fruit has a brand new cast of characters, with only recurring role being the planet itself. That said, this story is just as vividly detailed and fascinating as the others, and fans of the series should not be disappointed. While the story has its intense moments, the erotic catering company premise guarantees plenty of fun and even more spice! McKade deftly creates empathy in the reader for both Drake and Nicole, ensuring we are rooting for their romance every step of the way. Readers should understand that as this story is a novella, and not a full-length novel, the plot centers strictly on the romance between Drake and Nicole, without the suspense fans are accustomed to with the other two stories in the series. I will wager, however, that even with out the mystery element, other readers will be as thoroughly charmed by Forbidden Fruit as I was!
