Kat and Hades had gone their separate ways when we last saw them in HELL KAT. Hades has been dreaming of Kat while Kat is fighting off the vampiric Dark Dweller virus. A cure may exist in the city of Inferno, but Hades is initially reluctant to travel there despite Kat’s determination to do so. After all, their experiences with the evil Baruch in the Vanquished City were bad enough and Inferno City and its leader, Satarah, have a far worse reputation. Unfortunately, the choice is taken out of their hands as Kat and Hades reunite for a trip to INFERNO.

Vivi Anna is simply a master at bringing to life the desolate world she has created!  Kat and Hades are the perfect characters to excel in such a world and it is a joy to see them once again up against a seemingly unwinnable situation. Prepare for non-stop action mixed with some very steamy scenes with INFERNO.

Sensitive readers should be cautioned, however, as Vivi Anna pulls no punches with INFERNO. Some of the sex scenes are a bit violent and there are f/f scenes as well. All of this is appropriate in the context of the world Vivi Anna has crafted. Survival is the goal and it is not always pretty. Most readers will admire the strength and courage of Kat and Hades as they are both survivors, and yet they have not lost that sense of humanity that has them sacrifice for their love for one another.

INFERNO is a stand alone novel, although this reviewer suspects that readers will rush to purchase HELL KAT after getting a taste of her world in INFERNO. There are several continuing secondary characters from HELL KAT, but Vivi Anna clearly explains their role. In addition, the character of Onyx is introduced and this reviewer is on the edge of her seat, just waiting to see where Ms. Anna will take us next with his involvement.

Vivi Anna creates sexual tension that is so hot it burns your fingertips while turning the pages! Even more appealing, her very explicit scenes move the plot forward without resorting to sex for the sake of sex. INFERNO is a sizzling hot book and Vivi Anna has solidified her place among the top writers with this entry. Highly recommended!
