Nancy Moser is back with another excellent bio-novel, this time of acclaimed author Jane Austen.

Jane Austen spends her days in the English countryside, surrounded by her beloved family. She lives with neither extravagance or fanfare, preferring to entertain her loved ones with her stories and her sharp wit. She never ventures far from her home and struggles throughout her life to find her rightful place in the world. Yet, she has left readers with a legacy of some of the best-known characters in literature.

JUST JANE is a “wow” kind of book. Nancy Moser brings Jane Austen to life, penning her story in much the style that Jane herself would have written. Engrossing from beginning to end, readers find themselves surrounded by Jane’s family and drawn into both their hardships and their triumphs.

It is clear that Ms. Moser has undertaken a great deal of research to lend credence to JUST JANE, and she succeeds, beyond my expectations, in bringing the remarkable Jane Austen to life in a way that no one ever has. JUST JANE will delight longtime fans of Jane Austen, as well as bring appreciation to new readers who are intrigued by Jane’s simple life, and her wish for neither fame nor fortune.

As with Ms. Moser’s previous novel, MOZART’S SISTER, Ms. Moser has managed to shed light on the life of a prominent historical figure that left readers with a great legacy. Even more wonderful, Ms. Moser does so in a compelling, engaging style that is both entertaining and heartfelt.

JUST JANE is a book that will remain in readers’ hearts long after the final page is turned. For who better than the incomparable Jane Austen to remind us that happiness is not about riches, or fame, but about finding that one thing that makes each of us uniquely us? Beautifully written and masterfully researched, Ms. Moser should be highly commended for her heartfelt accounting of Jane Austen’s life. JUST JANE is a must read.
