Shana Willis can’t explain how the mysterious key found its way into her locker at work, but she is intrigued. Made of gold etched with an intricate design, she cannot imagine what the key opens – until she finds the cryptic note with it promising love and a home. She is certain it’s all a practical joke by one of her co-workers, but pockets the key regardless. Never in her wildest dreams could she have expected to find the key fits a door in a magical dollhouse, and that by turning the key in the lock, she would be transported into another realm and into the waiting arms of the God of that other world. King Sindale will do anything to persuade Shana to remain with him. He’s waited for her an entire lifetime. But the choice must be hers… Once again, Skylar Sinclair proves herself one of the most imaginative writers on the scene today. Put that together with quirky and offbeat, and you will know just what it is that keeps this reviewer coming back for more! Sinclair has a unique way of spinning a tale, and her stories are rarely what you would expect. She dares to challenge her fans, moving them into new territory again and again, never content with merely writing what she thinks her readers want. As Key to Sin shows, this ideology works for her and serves to set her apart from the rest. The author couples the ever so impressive God, King Sindale, with the very plebeian Shana Willis. Accustomed to his subjects bowing to his whims and serving his needs, Sindale cannot understand why Shana doesn’t simply acquiesce to his wishes immediately. Of course, some may argue that is a trait not limited to God-Kings but to the male gender in general… LOL Still, Sindale treats Shana with respect, although determined to seduce her into remaining with him. Shana is a perfect foil for Sindale, a modern woman who does more than keep him on his toes. Not swayed by his power or position, Sindale will know without a doubt that Shana loves him truly when she finally decides to be with him. As I
said before, I never know quite what to expect from a Skyler Sinclair story
– even after reading the blurbs – and Key to Sin was no
exception. If you are in the mood for something a little out of the
ordinary and highly entertaining, pick up a Skyler Sinclair book, and I’d
definitely recommend starting with this one! Reviewed by Jennifer
