MOON SWEPT contains two books in the excellent werewolf series, WITCHING MOON and CRIMSON MOON, reprinted in their entirety.

~WITCHING MOON~

WITCHING MOON is the story of Adam Marshall, a new head ranger hired to work at The Nature’s Refuge. The previous ranger was murdered and Adam quickly finds himself in the crosshairs of a group willing to kill to keep their secrets. Adam is determined to uncover just what mysteries are hidden in the Georgia swamp and hopes his abilities as a werewolf will aid his investigation. Meanwhile, botanist Sara Weston arrives to work on a grant at the swamp, and her safety is in jeopardy as well. Will Adam and Sara uncover the identities of the perpetrators? How will Sara react when she learns Adam is a werewolf?

WITCHING MOON reminds me of just why I fell in love with this series! Rebecca York writes a fantastic tale that is both suspenseful and romantic. Adam is a hero to fall in love with as he seeks to protect everyone while searching out who is behind the murder of the previous head park ranger. Sara is no cowering heroine either, as she is willing to face the evil hiding in this Georgia town.

Rebecca York does a phenomenal job at world building. Her werewolves are believable as she creates a fantasy world that literally sweeps the reader away. It’s hard not to imagine the dark, spooky rituals occurring in the Georgia swamp. WITCHING MOON remains to date one of my favorite books in this entire series, due in part to the forbidding atmosphere that makes it so eerie.

~CRIMSON MOON~

Johnny Marshall reinvented himself as the environmentalist and thief, Sam Morgan. His attendance at the Woodlock party is solely to case the house, but Olivia and her brother, Colin, have a job in mind for him. A mysterious family relic has been stolen by a rival, Luther Ethridge, and they want his help in recovering it. Will the growing attraction between Olivia and Sam survive once both their secrets are revealed?

CRIMSON MOON is the story of another one of the Marshall werewolf clan and once again demonstrates the superb writing skills of Rebecca York. Luther simply epitomizes evil in its purest form and it is hard not to wish harm to him as his dirty secrets are revealed. His deeds are some of the vilest I have ever read about and readers should note that they are a bit graphic in nature. On the flipside, Olivia and Sam are both used to keeping secrets and Rebecca York beautifully shows how honesty is essential to their relationship succeeding.

MOON SWEPT is easily recommended for fans who missed these two early books in the Moon series. Both stories are highly recommended and can be read as stand alones. Be forewarned, however… once you start reading either book in this omnibus edition, it’s hard to put MOON SWEPT down, even for necessities such as sleep!
