All Heath wanted for the past year was for his wife to come home. Now she is back, and all he wants is a divorce, and fast. He figures his runaway bride will be more than willing to accommodate him, seeing as how she hasn’t seen fit to even contact him since she left their marriage bed.

Chance is back to stay, and determined to start over with Heath. Having spent the last year healing and growing, she finally understands how to be the woman she is deep down inside, the woman Heath needs. But that’s easier said than done when the lies and secrets in her past threaten the tenuous bond they have begun to forge…

If you read Cara North’s book Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off, then you have probably been itching just as much as I have for the sequel to that one, titled She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy! The second book in the series based on the very sexy Johnson brothers brings us Heath’s story. North picks up at the moment she ended Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off, with no time lapse between the two books, and we enjoy not just the romance between Heath and Chance, but we are also treated to a follow up with all the characters we fell for in the first book.

We know from the first book that Heath Johnson is a man hardened by pain and loss, and the author teases us there by dropping tidbits regarding the stormy relationship with his estranged wife, Chance. The sequel takes us inside his mind and his heart, showing us the depth of his love for Chance, and his fear of opening up to her again.

Chance catches him off guard by opening up to him – something she has never done before. Although we only meet her briefly at the end of the first book, we know enough about her history between the two books to see how much she has changed and how hard she is trying to reconcile with Heath. Seeing the woman she has become in spite of the tragedies that haunt her past is absolutely inspiring, and it is easy to see why Heath can’t let her go…

North cleverly paves the way for a third book in the series with more scenes involving the steady Rafe and his reluctant love interest, Layla. She scatters just enough clues to hint there is much more to Layla’s story than meets the eye, and we can easily see that Rafe is just the man to save her from her past…
