With an overprotective big brother built like a refrigerator, no man has been able to get too close to Elena Richardson – much to her frustration.  Tired of her virginity, she devises a plan to ‘sneak’ a man in under the radar, so to speak, by hiring a man to be a stock boy in her lingerie shop who could also teach her a thing or two about sex.

When Luke Thomas walks into her shop, Elena mistakes him for the job applicant she is expecting and quickly propositions her hunky landlord – never suspecting he is the new owner of her building!

Luke is intrigued by Elena’s offer, and can’t say no.  But will a few weeks of ‘lessons’ be enough for either of them when they begin to lose their hearts?

While Teaching Elena doesn’t necessarily break any new ground, it does succeed in proving why certain themes work again and again, when they are as well written as Maggie Casper’s tale is.

The reader is instantly drawn to both characters upon meeting each, and yearns for this pair to realize their budding love for one another.  With a few pages, Casper grants us an instant connection to both Luke and Elena, as if we are reading about a couple of friends.

We cringe as we see Luke making mistake after mistake, although we understand the reasons for them all along.  Our heart breaks for Elena as we feel her pain and confusion concerning Luke’s unexplained anger with her.  And with a deft flair of the pen, Casper makes our hearts sing as the two come together for a happy ever after ending.

Teaching Elena is a lovely read, and perfect for a nice evening alone by the fire, when you are looking for a steamy little happy every after story!
