THE PRICE OF ETERNITY picks right up where THE KEEPER OF ETERNITY ends. Morgan Saint-Evanston believes Julienne dead and is thrilled when they are reunited. His elation quickly passes as he realizes that Julienne is being eaten alive by the mutant Xavier D’Shagre placed inside her. Meanwhile, Xavier is searching for the legendary Scrolls of Cachaen while Morgan’s sister, Megwyn Ese-Yeveanston, has her own evil agenda. Will Morgan and Julienne be overwhelmed by the dark forces opposing them? THE PRICE OF ETERNITY grabs the reader by the throat and doesn’t let go until the very end. Be cautioned that this is an ongoing series which means that the issues are not always resolved but instead leave the reader begging for just one more page to see what will happen next. Devyn Quinn presents a shining example of the genre as THE PRICE OF ETERNITY packs a powerful punch. This is by no means a stand alone novel, however, as the basic plotline and character development are well established in the first book, THE KEEPER OF ETERNITY. Morgan’s character is continuing to evolve and it is interesting to get a better glimpse at the inner turmoil and pain that haunts him. Julienne has her own struggles as well as she will be forced to make some tough choices this time around- choices of such magnitude that they could affect the outcome of life on Earth and the alternate world, Sclyd. This reviewer is intrigued to see where the next installment will take these two characters. THE PRICE OF ETERNITY is one of the best urban fantasy novels published this year. Devyn Quinn has written a very dark novel, but it is also one that is easily recommended. THE PRICE OF ETERNITY is a book that should not be missed! Reviewed by Debbie
