We are immediately brought in to the story when Leena arrives in Calloway Cove and sees the mysterious Gray Lady, otherwise known as the Seagrass Whore. As soon as she discovers who this young woman is, the real mystery begins. We are taken along on the trail with Leena as she delves into the history of the town. As is typical of Ellen Ashe’s work, the adventure ride takes numerous twists and turns along the way and the conclusion will leave you breathless. Just when you think you have it all figured out, a new tangent has you guessing all over again! The attraction between Leena and Cole is there from their very first meeting and soon erupts into a maelstrom of passion. All the while Leena is torn between loyalty to her fiancé, even though she quickly realizes how undeserving he is, and the undeniable magnetism Cole exudes. Cole has many weaknesses, not the least of which is an addiction to pain killers after a hip injury from his time as a fisherman. With Leena’s help and quiet inner strength, Cole is able to face his inner demons… and the ghost that has declared him her own. The Seagrass Whore is a hot and sexy story that will bring a chill to your bones a time or two with its thriller and horror elements. Keep in mind there are a couple scenes with some mild BDSM that could make sensitive readers uncomfortable. I have never been disappointed in one of Ellen Ashe’s books and The Seagrass Whore ranks up there at the top with its un-put-down-able story line!
