Selene MacPherson knew there would be trouble when she kept drawing the THREE OF SWORDS card from the Tarot deck. Little did she realize that the trouble would come in a series of brutal murders! The Police Chief of Fort Bedford, Adrian Burke, doesn’t believe in the paranormal, particularly not from a woman who claims to read the Tarot. Will Selene convince Adrian in time that not all witches are frauds… or will she lose all that she cares about?

Joanna K. Moore offers a refreshing portrait of a woman fighting against her own heritage. Selene doesn’t want to be seen as different, one of those odd MacPhersons, and she has fought hard to obtain some degree of respectability in town. But in doing so, she has denied the very core of who she is. The character development is so well done that even those who don’t believe in special powers will find themselves enchanted with Selene’s struggle.

THREE OF SWORDS is chock full of tension and suspense. The identity of the villain remains a mystery for a good portion of the story, but oh what a villain! The evilness of the murderer seeps through the pages to send a shiver down the spine of the reader. Fans of paranormal romance will be delighted with this tale in which romance, suspense, and the paranormal are perfectly meshed. THREE OF SWORDS is a dark but fascinating story and easily recommended.
