Ann Cory provides readers with a short but thrilling story with VAMPIRE HUNTER BOOK 1- VINTAGES.

Regan is a former vampire turned vampire hunter.  She has been hired by Selena to investigate where a supply of tainted blood is coming from and to put a stop to the killings that are occurring in conjunction with the tainted blood.  Selena owns The Vines, a bar that sells blood for all of the night creatures and it is there where the investigation both begins and ends.  Regan sneaks in a few steamy moments with the sexy bartender, Garrett, while she uncovers the guilty party behind the numerous killings and the tainted blood. 

Ann Cory’s attention to detail is definitely praiseworthy!  She creates an atmosphere that draws the reader into the story instantly.  The foreboding tone and vivid descriptions bring this world to life. The room filled with dead and drained bodies is nothing short of spooky and made this reviewer glad she hadn’t read this book alone at night!

Ann Cory is very obviously a gifted writer with a knack for developing scenes.  The only drawback to this story was the relationship between Regan and Garrett.  While the sex scenes between them were definitely hot and steamy, the relationship felt almost superfluous to the story itself.  Despite this, however, readers will still enjoy the sizzling interaction between Regan and Garrett.

VAMPIRE HUNTER BOOK 1- VINTAGES is a welcome addition to the vampire genre.  Ann Cory has crafted a superb plotline that simply begs for a sequel.   The twists in the plot will keep readers intrigued and make this an enjoyable read and one not to be missed.
